Conroe Sell Out

Transcript verbatim from the recorded session

David · 00:00:00

Well, we got her done. Finally got the house in Conroe sold, and I am officially moved out of that haunted neighborhood. Well, not haunted for everyone, but for me, that place will always be a haunt. Anyways, that's one down of two. I've got one more property to sell. Or rent, I suppose. Maybe I should think about renting that little studio condo here in Montrose. Or maybe I'll keep it, because I think I'm going to be moving out of the city here soon, once my lease is up here. Because it doesn't suit me. I don't fit in here very well. I suppose I can continue to work and operate across conference table from everyone. But... But maybe my neighborhood needs to be a little different. Which means, perhaps, keeping that condo as a place to stay and work. Which was my original plan when I was living on the outskirts of the city on the north side. Anyways, that takes a bit of a load off of my plate on a number of levels. Just thought I would share the good news. In case you heard otherwise.

The Conroe house is sold. David is officially out of the neighborhood he calls haunted for him personally, with one property still to go and a thinking-out-loud about whether to rent or keep the Montrose studio condo as a base since Houston proper does not fit. The closing line carries the storm signal: just thought I would share the good news, in case you heard otherwise. The version of his life adversarial parties circulate is the otherwise he is correcting against, and his own ground is the place to do it.

The Conroe house is sold. David is officially out of the neighborhood he calls haunted for me, not haunted for everyone — the closing chapter of the arc The Unit Next Door was the prep run for. One property still to go, with a thinking-out-loud about whether to rent or keep the Montrose studio condo as a base. Houston proper does not fit; the current lease is up before long; the city is probably not the long-term posture, with operations continuing across the conference table from everyone either way. The case-file beat is the closing line: just thought I would share the good news, in case you heard otherwise. That phrase is the entire reason a storm record exists. The version of David's life adversarial parties circulate is the otherwise he is correcting against, and the place to correct it is on his own ground, dated, with the actual transaction completed.
